Global Warming

Global Warming is one of the many effects of pollution and is the ongoing process of an increase in temperature of the Earth’s climate. Though it’s only a small change in temperature, overall, it makes a huge impact on the environment.

For example, the increase in temperature, though it may not affect us as much, it affects animals such as polar bears who are facing a drastic change in their environment. The polar ice caps are still melting and these animals are losing their habitat and resources.

Global Warming also affects the ocean levels. The rise in temperature causes the sea levels to rise as well due to thermal expansion.

In addition to this, global warming affects us directly and can hurt our health. A popular example in countries such as China are cases of people contracting Erythromelalgia, a vascular disease that can result in a burning sensation of the skin. Other diseases that can be contracted are Malaria, Dengue Fever, and Tick-Borne Disease.

Unfortunately, Global Warming has been an ongoing process, and there is technically no way for us to stop it anymore. However, there are many precautions we can take to slow down the process and to keep Earth as sustainable as possible.

Some steps we can take are as simple as driving less and recycling more. Some harder goals that one might not do on a regular basis include planting a tree, checking tires, and avoiding packages with a lot of packaging (to reduce your garbage). It is our duty as a society to maintain Earth for our future generations, and these are just a few simple ideas to help us achieve that goal.
